Adhesives
We are happy to advise on adhesive to help maximise the lifetime and beauty of your flooring. Each product is recommended for use with specific flooring types, depending on your installation requirements.

Select the Correct Adhesive
Adhesives are products used to bond flooring securely to the subfloor, helping to ensure a stable, durable installation. Choosing the right adhesive is important, as different flooring products and installation conditions may require different adhesive types.
If an adhesives suitability is uncertain or where the circumstances require the use of a high temperature grade adhesive, it is best to consult a recognised flooring adhesive manufacturer to obtain their technical guidance and a specific recommendation before proceeding.
Our Recommendation
Recommended adhesives and subfloor treatments such as damp proof membranes, primers, smoothing and leveling underlayment's are available from a range of manufacture's, including F. Ball, Mapei, Uzin, Thomsit, Tremco, Schonox, Bostik, Eurocol, Instarmac and Ardex, or comparable product manufacturers.
Always refer to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions for recommended application, coverage rates and suitability for your specific installation.
Preparing the Subfloor
The subfloor must be permanently dry, with a moisture content below 75% Relative Humidity (RH), and clean, smooth, dust-free and free from contaminants that could affect adhesion.
If the subfloor is damp (above 75% RH), a suitable flooring-grade damp proof membrane or moisture vapour suppressant should be applied in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations. If dry but dusty or excessively porous, a suitable surface primer should be used.
Failure to properly prepare the subfloor may result in installation failure.
Applying the Adhesive
Installing into wet adhesives may cause the flooring materials to incorrectly perform. Always follow the adhesive manufacturer's application and drying instruction unless specified differently within our own installation guidance notes.

LokDots® & LokWorx® For Installation
LokDots and LokWorx are pressure-sensitive adhesive systems designed for the installation of EcoWorx carpet tile. Both offer an odourless alternative to wet adhesive, helping to minimise VOC emissions while providing a simple, versatile installation solution.
Simple Adhesive-Free Installation
IOBAC MagTabs™ allow our carpet tiles to be installed adhesive-free on metal raised access floors. This alternative installation method supports a Cradle to Cradle® approach, helping keep materials in use and supporting a more circular approach to flooring.
